Pabhaga

In the context of Odishan temple architecture, "Pabhaga" refers to the distinctive architectural base or platform that supports the main sanctum or vimana and Jagamohana of a temple.

The Pabhaga is divided into several horizontal layers, each with its own distinct moldings and carvings. The various components of the Pabhaga, from the bottom to the top, include: Khura, Kumbha, Pata, Kani & Basanta.
